A new approach...

Ok, I've decided to try something new with my art. Instead of rushing to get a drawing done in a few hours and blending like crazy, I've decided to stop blending and take my time with my drawings. I'm going to go for as much detail as I can possible get with what I have provided myself. As much as I want to limit my range of pencils, I also want to get good contrast, so I may slip up there on occasion, but what can you do.

I really like the results I have been getting when using mechanical pencils. They seem to give me a firmer command of the shading and a smoother blend. I have a few reference pics from deviantart photos that caught my eye, so I'm going to be experimenting with those for a bit.

I've decided to put away the Kateyln and Emily W.I.P. because my heart just isn't in it right now, and I don't want to do a half-assed job because I like them too much and want to do their portrait justice. I can only hope that I can.

Wish me luck!
